Police Sergeant Loz East.

We are pleased to announce that we have made Police Sergeant Loz East an Ambassador of the Curtis Palmer Program. Loz has stage 4 pancreatic cancer but this has not held him back pushing his physical or mental barriers and in turn inspiring others. He has raised thousands of pounds for the Curtis Palmer Program and for cancer and military charities.

Loz has completed the following with the Curtis Palmer Program since his diagnosis, the National 3 Peaks Challenge, the Devizes to Westminster canoe race, carried a rowing machine to the top of Pen Y Fan and rowed 5,000 meters at the summit, completed our Norway 2022 expedition and training, climbed Scafell Pike the tallest mountain in England on World Cancer Day in 2022 and climbed Snowdon the tallest mountain in Wales on World Cancer Day 2023, walked the entire length of the Ridgeway, canoed from one side of Scotland to the other, walked the Dorset Downs, completed the 9 mile Commando Speed March, while pushing an injured military veteran in his wheelchair, at the Royal Marine training camp in Lympstone. Pushed and aided another injured veteran in his wheelchair to the top of Pen Y Fan. Run the Commando Speed March in Spean Bridge with  an injured veteran, recorded a podcast on living with a terminal illness and so much more!Loz and his whole family have helped fundraise for the Curtis Palmer Program. Loz’s wife has made and sold candles for us, Lozs daughters made para cord wristbands and dog collars to sell and his two boys completed the Spean Bridge Commando march raising money. His young daughters nicknamed the Curtis Palmer Program The Midnight Gang (A gang that help others) after the David Walliams book.We are proud he and all his family are part of our charity. I consider him a fine example of all that is good about our Police Service.” In 2023 PS East won the National Inspiration in Policing Award.
