Damien Isherwood. FRGS.

Damien is a former Army Commando and is currently the Joint Operations Unit, Dog Inspector, for Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Police. He is the Police Service National Lead for the Curtis Palmer Program. A seasoned explorer and mountaineer he was voted a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society over 25 years ago. Whilst in the Military he set the team World Record for the Military Marathon, the individual World Record for the Military Mile and held the Commando Speed March record for the Spean Bridge race for over 20 years. He has received numerous Commendations, the Shrievalty Merit Award, The Performance Group Award and the Inspiration in Policing Award. Damien has planned and led expeditions all over the World for injured servicemen and emergency service workers. He has canoed 500 miles down the Yukon, retraced the route of the Cockleshell Heroes, retraced the route of the Telemark Heroes, cycled the entire length of New Zealand and led 8 Curtis Palmer expeditions.
