The 2nd Ambassador of the Curtis Palmer Program is Helen Barnett. Helen was one of the first females and the first mother to gain a place on the Metropolitan Polices SO19. During her career with the Metropolitan Police she was stabbed, caught in a bomb blast and shot in the leg. Helen was awarded a Queens Commendation for Brave Conduct. She was medically discharged with PTSD. It’s fair to say Helen has since learnt to use fitness and helping others as a healing mechanism. She now gives talks about her incredible journey, helped break a deadlift World Record and continues to support and inspire. She is also a Patron of the excellent Woodland Warrior Programme run by Nick and Louise Goldsmith.
